10th grade CA student looking for advice to get into an Ivy
Here is a quick list of ecs I’m doing as a 10th grader hoping for brown Bio undergrad or it’s BS/MD program ( or any ivy really ) are these good - (coaching underprivileged African kids in soccer around 6h/week ) ( I write bi weekly articles about mental illness and am hoping to expand to interviewing specialists ) ( I won the scholastic arts and writing regional awards 2nd place and am hoping to win again this year but we’ll see ) )I tutor African kids in math around 6h/week ish ) ( I also volunteer for HARESSO a non profit that helps immigrants get accustom to life in Canada and have a high chance of becoming a manger my junior year ) I’ve had 2 jobs ( one I got at 13 and advanced from cashier to manager ) as well I don’t know though because I’m aiming to major in biology to go the doctor route but none of my ec match I’m sort of willing to change my major if I can find one that will help for medical school and fits my ec but I haven’t found one yet. In terms of grades I’m taking the full IB pathway for grade 11-12 and have a 96% average in all my classes I plan to take the SAT as well even though the closest one is in Calgary what should I do to improve ? Pls desperate
