So lets say k'sante dauntless defends or attacks twice in 1 turn, can he double shield each time? or does it only work once?

Also as a side note, if you play a block after the trigger, will the unit still receive double shield for the rest of the turn?

Edit: the main idea I'm thinking is using neeko to copy the akali legend, then attacking with k'sante, pulling back with neeko/akali and then attacking again for x4 shield/assault.
