Never ending GI issues

I just want to preface with this- I’m sure other people have way more going on than me, so please don’t take my complaining and asking for help and be being a POS 😂

So for the last 10 years (I’m a 33 yo female) I’ve had reoccurring gut issues. Bloating, severe constipation, the opposite, cramping , just feeling BLAH. I do have PCOS but not the cliche body comp that comes with (I’m very active, built like a stick if i don’t work out, and don’t have issues losing weight when changing my workout plan). Anyways, I figured out I was lactose intolerant and wheat intolerant about 10 years ago. Since removing it DID help tremendously. But still having issues. History of stomach ulcers (not terrible) and acid issues.

About 2 months ago I had what I thought was maybe acid issues. Urgent care diagnosed as gastritis. Didn’t seem right. Meds they gave me did nothing. Pain in my upper right epigastric area that radiated to my back in the same place behind my shoulder blades. Went to hospital because after eating one day I literally couldn’t take it anymore. They did a scan- no stones. Agreed that it sounded gallbladder-y. Went to specialist, tested me for SIBO. Tested positive for IMO. On antibiotics for that. Did HIDA scan, gallbladder contracting okay but not filling before emptying into intestines. Consistent with scarring and long term inflammation- so that tracks. I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy scheduled the beginning of next month. I have a surgery consult at the end of this week. Regardless, I’m planning on waiting til I see the results of those before potentially removing my gallbladder.

I’m curious if others have a similar story and what you did? It seems as though I’ve just been written off forever and now all of a sudden I might have an answer and I feel like I did all the work- and I’m not a doctor , so did I push for the right things- or are they just like “omg shut up already we’ll pick this”?? Do you think it’s possible I’ve felt so crumby for the IMO and just, sludge?! I’m always run down. I feel it in my bones sometimes. And then I have a week of feeling great.
