(I saw a post abt this and i can't find the post anymore but here's an issue ive been experiencing, and i believe will be worsened by the upcoming update, so im asking here if there's a way to solve this)

Basically: in the past, a few months ago, all gamepasses on roblox could be accessed with the link to the gamepass on a browser. Artists could send the link to their customers and they can buy the gamepass, allowing robux payment to be received (albeit with tax). it was simple and easy, nothing to fuss around with

however, at some point in the last few months or so, roblox made these publishing requirements so that not all games can be accessed by everyone (details in the pic). This extends to gamepasses of said games, meaning that if ur game isn't in the last column then not everyone can see and buy the gamepasses.

the gamepass page itself, whether it be on the browser thru a link or roblox client thru checking a person's inventory, leads to an error page so that people can't buy it. it simply shows up as an "error page not found" for every one of my clients that i asked to use the gamepass, since my game is in the first column. and also this is after i did the maturity check for my game as well, doing that check changed absolutely nothing.

So far, my solution has been to receive payment thru pls donate instead, despite the increased tax rate (some payment is better than no payment ig) - but as we all know that will stop working on may 29th after the update where the selling of gamepasses thru a thrid-party game is not allowed.

essentially, if anyone wants their gamepass to be available to everyone after the update, they would have to:

- "keep account in good standing" (idk what does this mean but ig its just NOT getting banned?)

- Use 2FA (easy to do, not an issue for most)

- Age check (lots of ppl would be alr but not everyone (including me) would want to give their face to roblox)

- Give government ID or link parental account (the latter option, linking a parental account, wouldnt be hard to do i suppose so its okish?)

- have an active subscription, which is roblox premium or roblox plus (NOW THIS IS WHERE THE BS COMES IN bc theres no way every artist out here is gonna pay money to get money!!!!! this is the main requirement of publishing ur game and gamepasses to everyone that is borderline unaccomplishable imo, not everyone is gonna be subscribed like this-)

So my question is: how can i continue to have my comms open for robux in the future? ik giftcard codes are a method, but thats less accessible bc not everyone will have a giftcard on hand. Also, I can't receive roblox plus transactions bc my account doesnt have parental permissions or wtv, and also not everyone has plus and could send robux like this.

um rant and yap over :P pls send help if u got any ideas bc seriously idk-

basically someone was trying to buy a gamepass directly from me but the gamepass page and game itself was inaccessible, i checked my settings and did some googling and it says for people to buy ur gamepass they have to have access to the game of the gamepass - but with how things r working rn like in the table doesnt that mean the only way ur game and gamepasses can be available to everyone is to both give roblox ur government id, and also pay for premium or plus?!?! bc not everyone can become trusted friends or be above the age of 16-

so uhm yeah idk am i seeing things wrong? my pass still worked in pls donate but once thats removed doesnt it mean ppl dont have any way to access gamepasses :(
