Doctor prescribed statins only for one month

So my mom (51 years) got her blood lipid profile tested for first time and her cholesterol is 6, triglycerides are 0,56, hdl is 1.66 and ldl is 4.09. She went to therapist and they prescribed her to take rosuvastatin 20 mg once a day for only a month. Can you really take it for one month and quit? Can we try to lover her cholesterol with a diet first? We are also getting her arteries checked soon. She doesn’t smoke or drink, but her diet contains a lot of animal fat and not too much fiber.

Help me to identify our cow…

So we lost our cow two years ago (first picture). Someday she just didn’t come back home (we practice free-range for cows in our region), probably someone just stole her. And today we found some cow (second picture) nearby that looks like ours with a newborn calve. But her planum nasale is a different color than our cows. So can the planum nasale change its color? Also do cows always calve at the same time every year? Because I remember our cow would always calve during winter… it’s just so unusual that this cow came to calve near our house…
