Hi! 👋 I’m overall new to the fandom and don’t know if anyone else has pointed this out, but the more time I think on it, the more I notice that both Rocky’s story is uncannily similar to Jinx's from Arcane
- Stories started with the loss of their immediate parent(s)
- Initially taken in by a new family where they spend what’s left of their childhoods and seem to find solace in one particular family member (Freckle for Rocky, Vi for Jinx)
- The black sheep and “screw-ups” and it eventually results in getting seemingly discarded by the surrogate family
- In a moment of desperation, the closest thing to a home is found when taken in by the leader of a criminal team (Mitzi; Silco)
- Crippling abandonment issues lead to perceiving a wealthy love interest figure as a threat in some way (Wick; Caitlyn)
- Survived potentially lethal injuries (the hearse; the bomb on the bridge) and in turn become more unpredictable and scarier
- Coming to the belief that nothing in the world can bring them down at this point (Rocky: “I’m invincible.” Jinx: “I just can’t seem to die.”)
