Should I be more concerned about my friend asking me to open a gambling account and letting them use it?
I was asked to open a sports betting account, in my name. They said they’d give me $50 to put on the account and if they win anything they’ll give me half. Well from what I gathered, he lost. Put more money on the account, won. I’ve never gambled or even known a gambler, he said he’s going to take a portion of the money and bet more. I’m confused, he made it seem like he just wanted to use the account with the bonus offered and be done. He hasn’t sent me any money either. I thought to myself that I have nothing at all to lose in this, so I made the account. But for some reason alarm bells have been going off in my head. Can someone who sports bets explain if this is a bad idea? I mean, why hasn’t he gone back to using his own account if the bonus is gone?
