[Help] Plaster Casting the Floor?
Hey!
I'm an artist but relatively new to 3D art / sculpture.
I have an idea which involves making a plaster cast of some natural areas (about a foot square) e.g. a path up a mountain or the texture of a lakeshore.
From my googling, the materials used to make the negative moulds are liquids, which might be difficult to use on the floor and outdoors!
Does anyone know if other, non-liquid materials will work that I can take an impression with?
I was wondering about air-dry clay?
I'd want to use something that's non-toxic to the environment as well.
Thanks so much!
