I've got an idea for a networking events business. Would love some feedback

I work in London and have really struggled to find networking events where there's interesting conversations and actually make connections that last. So I've started working on an idea around small group networking events.

A little bit like TimeLeft but for networking, where you get matched into small groups for breakfasts/dinners/roundtables etc. Each one with a bit of structure, like a topic or a problem to work through. I'll be starting the first events in London.

Would love to get people's thoughts. I've spun up a website explaining the idea properly:

https://close-ties.com/

Is this something you'd be interested in?

Have you been to / run any successful small group networking events?

What would make you sign up to something like this?

I want to start running pilot events soon and gauge whether there's actual demand, so feel free to be brutally honest!

London founders/professionals - what networking has actually been worth your time?

Based in London and trying to meet more genuinely useful people & build longer term professional relationships. Most "networking events" I've tried have been pretty hit-and-miss.

Has anyone found things that work? A specific community, recurring meetups, a paid membership, just DMing people directly? And anything you'd tell me to avoid? Trying to spend my time better.

How do you actually find good networking opportunities in London?

There seem to be several events on Eventbrite / Meetup / LinkedIn, but it's hard to tell which are worth going to (and the ones I have been to have been a bit rubbish). And I feel like Linkedin has become full of content clickbait.

How do you find good professional events in London? If networking has actually worked for you, what did you do?

Genuinely curious what's worked for people.
