Interview with US Immigration officer (English speaking) no translation
**hesitated putting this info in because memory is a bit blurred. Take this information with a grain of salt- it’s not 100% accurate! Fiance couldn’t leave bag at hostel because it was shared hostel and did not trust roommates.

Interview question asked:

-How did you meet?
- How many times have you met?
-Were you a couple from our first meeting?/ Were you romantic from the first meeting?
-What is her job?
-How many times did you meet? (Don’t say “about___ amount of times”. Be clear on your answer )
-What are you going to do there?
-Where does she live?
-When did you get engaged?
-Have you traveled outside of India?

Flying Into USA (DFW-Dallas,TX)

-wait in visa-holder line.
-met with immigration officer who took photo, asked purpose of visit, where are you going.
-then escorted to office and asked for sealed envelope/medical info

Stamped passport. No questions asked at this point. 3-5 min max.
Entered USA!

*Info about petitioner/beneficiary:
We have never been married prior, no kids, been in relationship for 8 years, mid 20s

Tips: we faced technical problems on USVisaScheduling website. Problem with payment going through. There were NO open slots for biometrics and interview for a few days. Kept checking several times daily. Join current K-1 Visa facebook group and ask for help. Several users offered very helpful tips about online issues.

GOOD LUCK to Indian K-1 Visa applicants. I felt there was a lack of info for Indians when we went through the process. Here to help the best I can! 🇮🇳🇺🇸
