"A Reno-area high school has once again landed among the top high schools in the country, with Davidson Academy ranking No. 4 nationally in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.

The school held the same spot in the publication's 2025-26 rankings, making this the second consecutive year Davidson Academy has been ranked fourth in the nation.

Davidson Academy serves profoundly gifted students and is a public school in Reno. The school was established to provide an advanced educational opportunity tailored to students' abilities, strengths and interests.

The latest U.S. News rankings place Davidson Academy behind three schools nationally. The Reno school is followed by School Without Walls in Washington, D.C., at No. 5.

The recognition puts a Nevada school among the nation's highest-ranked high schools again, while other schools across the state also performed well in the latest rankings.

Four Nevada cities are considered America's new 'boomtowns' [Sparks ranked #53, 2nd in the state, Reno ranked #66 out of 75 identified 'boomtowns']

Nevada's runner-up was Sparks at No. 53, which saw housing units grow by 16%, labor force increase by 14%, and a 3.8% compound annual GDP growth rate.

Henderson followed at No. 63, posting a 13% increase in housing units, an 18% rise in labor force, and a 3.5% annual GDP growth rate.

Reno came in last out of the Nevada cities on the list at No. 66, with housing units up 14%, a labor force increase of 11%, and a 3.8% compound annual GDP growth rate."...
