It feels quite surreal, actually
Last year I was dating this beautiful girl. She asked me to come along to her sister’s band practice somewhere near Piccadilly. I wasn’t really in the mood, but I went anyway.
They barely played. Spent most of the time talking about The Smiths and some old movie. At one point her sister turned to me and said “Audience, give us a name.”
I thought for a few seconds and suggested something.
They shrugged and carried on chatting. I left soon after.
My girlfriend eventually broke up with me—it was ok, honestly. Life moved on. But last night, she sent me a text with that band’s debut video.
They went with the name.
And now I can’t fall asleep.
