At what point does Jedd Fisch (and Demond) lose their jobs?

I’ve defended Jedd Fisch against reactionary fans calling for his firing, but watching this first quarter I’m genuinely beginning to think our best option might be to pull a Penn State and fire him mid-season. It’s not just the losses, but the complete lack of any sort of offensive initiative or adjustment, game after game.

And I think it’s pretty clear by now that we should have let Demond go to LSU and spent that $4 million on someone who is actually aware of how to go through progressions. It’s his 3rd year as a starter and he seems to have genuinely regressed to being worse than he was as a freshman.

Foster officially announces transition to Direct to College admissions system beginning Autumn 2027

Foster has officially announced that they will be transitioning to a DTC system beginning at the beginning of the next school year. The new system is akin to the Engineering school, where a student is a DTC admit but will not declare a business major until completing the lower division core.

The majority of incoming students will now be admitted directly as freshmen, with it presumably becoming much more difficult to transfer into the school as a current UW student or transfer applicant.

This makes Foster the latest department to follow CSE’s 2019 decision to step away from the traditional competitive major system in favor of choosing to let most new students in as freshmen.

The funniest email revealed in the Clippers investigation: “Can someone please come up with a wish list [Mr. Sanberg] should ask for from [Mr. Leonard]?“

Per the full Wachtell Lipton investigation report on the Clippers, one of the most damning (and funny) emails revealed in the course of their investigation was the following exchange between a Clippers agent and his colleagues regarding the Aspiration deal, which clearly shows the difficulties of trying to set up a fake sponsorship when your “sponsor” has no experience with real endorsements:

Subject Line: Aspiration and Kahwi

“[Mr. Sanberg] is making an offer to Kawhi to be a spokesperson for 5 million cash plus 7 million in stock per year for 4 years as long as he is with the clippers. Can someone please come up with a wish list [Mr. Sanberg] should ask for from [Mr. Leonard]? [. . .] [Mr. Sanberg] doesn’t really know what to ask for.”

Is anyone else a little concerned about the sheer number of plot threads Red God has to wrap up?

While I love Morning Star, one of the most consistent complaints you see is that the pacing can feel a bit rushed, particularly towards the end. And the original trilogy has a significantly less complex plot than the new books.

Just off the top of my head, Red God will have to satisfactorily conclude, or drop, these plot threads:

- The Siege of Mars and Phobos now that the Rim fleet is incoming (and Mustang’s mysterious intel source)
- The Siege of Luna and the Vox, the Abomination, Lilath, and the Boneriders (plus we still don’t know what happened to Pebble and Clown)
- Exploring the resulting emotional impact of the death of Cassius and, should Sevro and Victra be reunited, Ulysses
- A conclusion for the Rim, Diomedes, and the daughters of Athena
- A conclusion for Volga, the Volk, and maybe the Ascomanni (although this probably could be dropped)
- A conclusion for Lyria
- Apollonius and Darrow’s unfinished duel
- If Rhonna is truly dead, the resulting conflict between Darrow and Kieran
- Lysander and the virus, and the remaining Gorgons
- Lysander and Atalantia’s conflict, especially now that Atlas has been killed
- Lysander and Apollonius’s “alliance” (this one doesn’t necessarily need to be explored any more, but an eventual conflict was clearly being set up in Dark Age)
- A conclusion for Mercury, especially after the death of Glirastes, and Venus

There is no question Red God will be a very ambitious and probably very long book, but I do hope he’ll be able to find a satisfying conclusion that doesn’t ignore or drop major plot threads or have serious pacing issues. I have full trust in PB, but when you list it out it does seem like a lot to handle.

Will transcripts include Baccalaureate/Latin Honors?

I just graduated this past quarter, and based on my GPA and department should qualify for baccalaureate honors (cum laude, etc).

Will a notation be added to my transcript (there is nothing on it now) or do these only get printed on diplomas? On the website it says that it is included on both, but my degree was conferred with no transcript notation yet.

Please don’t let people tailgate into buildings

I’m a former Nordheim resident and used to use the laundry room where yesterday’s horrific incident occurred. Unless they’ve changed it within the last year, you have to go through two locked doors to access it - one from outside which requires a physical code on a keypad and another inside which requires a key fob to enter.

I understand everyone is raised to view it as rude not to hold the door open for people, but letting people tailgate inside buildings, especially residential ones, can be a serious safety issue. Please make sure that you’re not letting people follow you in who shouldn’t be.

Stay safe everyone

**Update as of 2:45 PM**: the Daily has reported that the Bluetooth lock on the inside door has been broken since at least April (several residents on this subreddit are reporting it’s been broken for even longer). Regardless, please still stay safe regarding other locked doors and don’t let people follow you in.

The Knick’s blowout streak continued today following Danhausen un-cursing them for a fanhausen on Cameo, as they beat the Philadelphia 76ers 137-98. This is their second 35+ point victory since the uncursing, as they beat the Hawks 140-89 last Thursday.
