So good for the soul...

Nobody in my family understands the flying thing, so you all get to read my journal entry here 😂 I tried posting video, but it wouldn't upload and still photos are all I have to share.

I live in an urban/suburban area, and flying often involves competing for use of soccer fields or parks. But, I'm out west for about a month with hundreds of acres to play with just steps from the front door. Once the airplane is up, there's nothing but wide open space over the valley. No tree lines to worry about, no adjacent roadways, and not a single person to ask the requisite "How high can that thing go?" sorts of questions.

What a remarkably different flying experience this has been...it's going to be tough to go home at the end of this trip 😕

First time out since August...

Life, a brutal winter/windy spring, and a blue mood have kept me from flying anything at all since August. I finally forced myself to take an hour to get outside – it was quite nice to take the UMX TTE for a spin around the patch this evening in absolutely zero wind 😁
