Are open worlds always so tedious?
Hi, I only started gaming last year. To give you an idea, I’ve beaten eight games so far. However, I recently encountered a type of game I hadn't played before: "open-world games." And I have to say, the experience hasn't been as good as I imagined. The game is *Hogwarts Legacy*; while it’s good in some respects, I feel like it’s so vast yet so empty at the same time. I always pictured an open world as being packed with quests (which I love) and interesting places to explore, but the map is just full of random enemies, a few challenges, collectibles, and very tedious NPCs. But as I said, I don't have much experience, and I haven't looked anything up because I don't want to get spoilers for games I might play in the future. So, I just want a simple, spoiler-free answer: do all open-world games have this vibe, or is *Hogwarts Legacy* just an example of one that was poorly executed?
