Hi, all. I recently found out an elderly family member is being financially exploited and abused by his caregiver. I need to make a report to APS, but I am nervous about my identity being found out because his caregiver is mentally unstable and volatile. My ultimate goal is to have the abused family member come live with me, but I can't achieve this without some sort of involvement of the authorities. I understand NM statute requires the reporter's identity to remain confidential except in certain circumstances, but does anyone have experience with this?
