Experience having other dogs over?

We are looking at which dog to get and I love the sound of Bedlingtons. I've only met one before and they were lovely.

I do dog boarding so I have a lot of dogs here and have experience with a lot of breeds.

Our favourite dog so far is a pomsky followed second by a Pomeranian and third Australian labradoodle. We love the pomsky/pomeranian as they have such a fun, sassy cheeky personality and absolutely love other dogs. They're super playful and happy. However they shed a LOT and it's too much so it's putting us off those breeds.

The Australian labradoodles we've had have all had a great mix of fun, playful energy alongside the best cuddles.

However I don't particularly want a doodle.

I also absolutely love whippets but my partner isn't keeping on the boney aspect as he says they're not nice to stroke. But I love their cuddly nature and their goofy personality. The downside for me is that the ones I've met have been reluctant to follow even the most basic commands (sit for example).

So after looking into lots of breeds, my current favourite is the Bedlington. However... I've since read that they can be very guarding of their property and can show aggression? I'm interested in hearing people's experiences of having other dogs over to the house. Has this ever been a problem?

They would have this from a very young age. Different dogs over for the day/to stay. So they would definitely get used to it. But since this is my job I need to be sure before getting one that they wouldn't have an issue with it.

My partner likes papillons and they sound great personality wise but I hate the look of them.

Other breed options are miniature poodles (seems like a safe bet) and Chinese crested (more random but I LOVE the look of the bald ones and apparently they have great little personalities).

However I really love Bedlingtons and would much prefer a Bedlington over a poodle simply because everyone on earth seems to have a poodle or doodle right now.
