This is so crazy, and they are planning to furlough teachers for 5 days a year when students aren’t there. These are planning days, PD days, and more. All requiring work with no pay and leading to a 2% salary cut.
I’m currently pursuing my degree in math education, I always thought teaching of all things would be a more stable job. But with cuts like these happening across the country is that really true? Is pursuing a degree to teach worth it if I won’t be able to find a job?
