Hi everyone,

I received my Fall 2026 UIUC MCS rejection in mid-May and submitted my appeal within the two-week deadline. It's now been almost a month, and I still haven't received a decision. The admissions office previously told me that appeal decisions were expected within 5–10 days. A friend of mine submitted his appeal around the same time and received a decision after about 20 days (unfortunately it was denied). Has anyone else experienced such a long wait for an appeal decision? I'd really appreciate hearing about your timeline.

Has anyone ever been rejected from UIUC MCS and later successfully got reconsidered / admitted after sending an appeal or application update?

Would appreciate hearing any experiences.
