AI Deepfake Without Consent Is Abuse
I think we need to talk more seriously about AI ethics, especially when it comes to minors.
AI tools are becoming extremely powerful. They can edit, generate, transform, analyze, and manipulate images in ways that were impossible for ordinary users just a few years ago. But with that power comes responsibility.
Using AI should never mean ignoring basic morality, consent, privacy, or respect for human dignity — especially when children or teenagers are involved.
Minors cannot fully understand or consent to how their images may be used, shared, edited, or stored. That means adults, developers, platforms, and users have a much higher responsibility to protect them.
In my opinion, any AI tool that works with photos should have strict safeguards when minors may be involved:
- no sexualized or exploitative use of minors’ images;
- no manipulation of children’s photos without clear and legitimate purpose;
- stronger moderation and reporting tools;
- clear age-related rules;
- real accountability for misuse.
AI is not “just a tool” when it can affect someone’s safety, dignity, and future. Technology should not be an excuse to cross moral lines.
We can support innovation and still say clearly: children must be protected, consent matters, and AI should be used with responsibility.
