Throughout my experience I was never worried to get a job. I was always told teachers are in demand. Now seeing all the cuts and hiring freezes has sent me into a panic. I have my ec-6 and PPR passed. STR is pending. What should I do? Still apply for jobs? Wait til I pass? I want to teach pre k. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to apply :) TIA

Hi all! I am wanting to teach in the Austin area, specifically head start/pre k. However I still need to take my STR. Should I still apply even if I haven’t taken the test yet? Do they hire uncertified teachers? Only asking cus I took this test last out of all my certs and this one seems really hard but trying to be positive. TIA
