The post I am about to type out again was taken down by c of c & got me banned from r/Christian

OK active c of c any type c of c lurkers. Do you occasionally cheat and go to a non c of c church, listen to non c of c teachings, read non c of c books and/or attended non c of c conferences? If you have what perspectives have changed, do you feel more open to non c of c teachings? Do you feel that your exposure to this non cof c data has any of that had you pause and second guess what you know & believe? Would you now consider leaving since you gave gained a new perspective? Anyone can answer I'd just like to hear from current members

So, going to admit I had not known about this case until today. Jon's father was apparently a c of c preacher I'm unclear if Jon was as well but my God heard it on crime junkie found all manner of data on the case including people who knew Jon. Yes I'm sure he did un alive his entire family. At least I believe so. My bigger point is my God why is it that the c of c is in the business of making cults, killers and all around bad people?

Jessica Jones needs to just have a series of novels based on the really good cases.

OK c of c people come clean, in any scenario for example a c of c college have you ever been tasked with or moved on your own to perform the following task. Gather information online in person through printed materials in other words learn all you can about successful denominations (ones that are adding big numbers not losing them.) Study what is being done to bring people in. Once you have that deliver all that data to a college, some elders or even pew warmers at a c of c?

I'd just like to know are there c of c people doing reconnosence on the competition.

I've noticed on several platforms except that one crazy fb space that there is no real oppen attack on non Campbellites there is no thirst to debate or in any real way attempt to defend your cult anymore what ever bite you have left is in danger of your dentures being stuck.

I mean at least Scientology & the FLDS keep trying its like you all laid down and gave up I meant could just be what I see but honestly you just don't have it in you. Am I to assume you are done, have run out of champions or are finally realizing you need to jump ship while you can?

My wife's cult preacher was essentially screaming they are right but make room for other people's understanding? Yep you have been reduced to no real threat just thinking out loud.

So, I have loads of topics I follow and this tick took just made shit super clear.

Something said can sound sincere & true because emotionally the person saying such things feels they are are being honest. "I love you I'm here for you." Those in our lives who say that we tend to accept. It goes deeper if the person backs it up with actions all the better.

Love is a genuine feeling trust......is evidence and verification. I know I got the feeling part but I also grew up watching my parents and others not backing up the words with actions therefore I counted on the feeling but I never trusted the actions or follow through. Damn weather born from the little cult or not that just hits man.

I've been out of Celebrate Recovery for a few years now. I rose to leadership level however several reasons and just poor timing got me away from the program not like I'm angry at Celebrate Recovery I made loads of progress. But I digress. Recently a very good friend of the very few brothers from Desert Storm I keep up with has successfully completed rehab I'm proud of him any way mind went back to visiting my parents. And one of my mothers friends was a hopeless alcoholic well, she went sideways during Bible class on a Sunday morning when our family happened to be there at the time so I'm a younger charismatic not so well adjusted and she (the alcoholic) is manifesting a bit of her demons the preacher was totally afraid as everyone in the room. I remember laying hands on her and nothing really happened finally an ambulance was called and she was hauled off to detox. I hadn't thought of these situations before but it hit home these people can't cope.

If that happened at a charismatic church all the little old ladies would have cast out every demon and had her in her right mind. Ya there is no way these fake idiots really know what to do or how to address any issue I'm sure there was some Karrn & elder meeting discussing how do we get rid of her? Just a little something going through my head today

I'm curious has anyone heard of a Campbellite converting because they were shown in a Bible study? I mean 8 highly doubt it but it would be interesting to see if maybe one of them "saw the light"

I visited Store House church in Farmers Branch Texas seen services on You Tube the lead female pastor has been interviewed on Robby Dawkins podcast. I'm hoping to hear from any who attend especially if you have Been there over a year.

I thought about posting this on the cult group itself but I already know I will either get the post taken down or have laim excuses and half ass answers.

So, I've noticed quite a trend on here. In one way or another there are several heart breaking stories of separation, parents choosing the cult over the children. Not even on ""big issues " I mean they love & worship the cult & politics more than thier own flesh & blood or adopted children? Who the f does that? I know they refuse to read the Bible outside thier sacred path and if they had to there would be a billion reasons why Luke 15 doesn't really say that.

I think it's the most terrible thing any human can do to cut off a child because they no longer fit the mold or in some way violate a parents cult rules etc. I guess I will never understand it just breaks me how can you treat your child like shit because they are____ (insert what ever topic here) unbelievable the depths of evil they go to so that thier beliefs are safe and they feel vindicated it sickens me that these pew warmers can somehow live with themselves and Cary on as if nothing happened.
