Do we know anything about the Ingalls time in Missouri?
When the Ingalls first left Wisconin, they didn't head to Kansas, they were moving to 80 acres of land in Chariton County Missouri. Charles bought the land in May, 1868 and sold it back to the very same person in Feb 1870. The land was purchased while they were still in Wisconsin and sold back while they were living in Kansas.
This period is never mentioned in any of Laura's books and as far as I know, never brought up in letters or any other writings. Is there anything in the history books that tell us what their time there was like and why they moved on so quickly?
