I sent a rejection email to KPMG the HR, felt really good!
Forgive my typo in the title - I meant ‘The KPMG HR’
For context: I cleared four rounds of interview for a non-technical role and the HR ghosted me despite me following up on a closure. So I sent a rejection email to the HR who was connected with me letting them know that I was no longer interested in the role highlighting how I was not keen to work in a culture that does not foster honest and open communication.
Five minutes after I sent the email the HR frantically called back - whose call I didn’t pick up. I stand by my word! I would rather not have a job than to work in a toxic environment that wouldn’t treat its prospective employees well. I truly believe the interview process is the biggest showcase of a company’s culture!
It was such a reverse uno moment and a much needed message to the recruitment community that just because someone is looking for a job it doesn’t make that person unworthy!
Protect your self worth and send a rejection email to all the ‘ghosting’ HR out there!
