Function test

Did a quick function test with an empty mag, I mean no bbs loaded, just pressed down on the slide release so it wouldn't lock back . Definitely much better blowback than my friends KJ Works 1911, he says it's similar to his We Tech Glock 17. Will have to wait for the upgrades to come in before I try accuracy, plus I am doing some travelling right now so the followup update will probably be in November.

We Tech F226 has finally arrived.

Yesterday my We F226 that I ordered from Sixmm arrived.Took just over a month..Opened the package and it was disassembled into its main components of slide, frame and internal trigger parts. Took it to a friend who is a gunsmith and he put it together with no issues as the layout more or less follows real firearms with a few understandable changes for airsoft mechanics, so didn't have to look up a guide. Initial testing shows very nice crisp blowback, much stronger than my friends KJ Works 1911 or the KWC P08 Luger. Out of the box accuracy is not comparable to my friends KJ Works but that was expected (KJ works are very good reliable shooters OOTB) WE Techs are usually 50/50 and benefits from a bit of tinkering and I have already put in the order for a Maple Leaf inner barrel, a 70 degree Autobot hop bucking, I key and a Maple Leaf adjustment wheel. That should get my pistol sorted and shooting very well.

The cost of the pistol and shipping came out to about Rs 12,300 and customs was Rs 1,674, so a total of almost Rs 14,000..which is much much cheaper than what sellers in India ask for these airsoft pistols. Sure there is always a slight risk that customs may seize the package but its so cheap that you can order 3 or 4 of them and even if one makes it through it will be cheaper than if we bought it locally. There are much cheaper gbb pistols out there, its just that We Tech had the p226 variant I wanted. WE's Glocks, Berettas (Version 2) and Sigs are generally held to be good for the money. Kj Works are also good, TM's are always reliable OOTB but I dont like the abs slides and the need to buy aftermarket metal slides if you want metal components. Eventually I will get the VFC p226, its supposed to have issues but I want it as a wall hanger as its quite a good replica of the real Sig p226(VFC's are usually very good at that) and I dont mind doing some modding to get it working right if need be.

Ordered it from Sixmm as my friends have been ordering from the site for a while and have had good experiences, I had ordered a few components from it earlier and all had arrived with no issues. Kolkata customs are always iffy so I have begun ordering my airsoft kit to cousins in Delhi, it arrives much faster and way less customs taxes too.

Some of my old loadouts

Some loadouts when I was playing in the UK many years back.

My first time playing at a Stirling Airsoft event..it was a 2 day event, went as a US marine as the Marines Jungle Marpat is a camo pattern I really love, very effective, I had bought the cqbr m4 first and decided a marine look would be appropriate, hence I also got the appropriate acog sight. Night fighting was a bust, our squad had no night vision so the opposing team wiped us out when we were trying to move in position for a night attack.

The Stirling guys had some pretty well equipped jeeps that did a lot of hit and run on our positions, had a look at one at the end of the event

One snowy winters day I decided to go up to the hills above Crafnant Lake and take some pics in my German Wehrmacht uniform. Didn't have a snow camo top so reversed my chefs whites and voila. Appropriate too as the Germans were underequipped for the winter war so they would grab anything white item they could get, bedsheets and tablecloths were very commonly seen being used for winter camo cover

No gloves so my hands were freezing. The rifle was the Dboys Shell Ejecting Kar98k...lots of fun, most people say the shell ejecting makes it impractical but I loved it and carried about 100 extra shells in the correct mauser stripper clips

Ahh I think I see a Russki over there...

This was another Stirling event in Copehill Down...great fun ..I was playing the role of an Insurgent, I think were were called the DBR, Democratic Brotherhood of Roy

I think there was about 350 participants ...great fun..a full town to fight in...Copehill Down was built during the cold war to mimic a German town, for training troops in case the Cold War ever went hot. Lots of homes, some high rises, parks, tunnels, alleyways etc etc..great for urban combat

After I got \"killed\" when charging a fellow with a cheap plastic war axe, wanted to get a melee kill but no luck that event.

Early-ish vietnam war loadout.

Since I am working on building an early type m16a1(though not the xm16a1 variant) I have been slowly getting the various corresponding gear needed to complete the look. The webbing is the m1956 type. Picked up a cheap locally available shovel that is basically a copy of the m51 entrenching tool, the khaki canteen cover and canteen inside is a m1910 replica, during the early period of the vietnam war you would see an assortment of gear and kit from previous wars, there was a lot of mix and matching going on so it gives us a bit of leeway in how we want our kit setup The bayonet is a replica, though original surplus m7's are not too expensive so am tempted to get an original.

The backpack and frame is a post Vietnam war Alice pack, the Vietnam era p62 and p64 lightweight rucksacks are rather expensive and even replicas are somewhat rare, so the alice pack makes a half decent stand in.

The last pic is of me at a recent event featuring ww2 vehicles in Kohima. I was called in on the last minute and my ww2 gear had not arrived yet...so since most local people cant even tell the difference I put on my vietnam war kit and took part. It does somewhat resemble the US HBT jungle uniforms and had a m1 carbine handy so it worked as a resemblance to the look of US soldiers during the Burma campaign.

AOR-2 Loadout

I just did a random lookout on reddit for airsoft in india and good to see there is still some progress being made, so have joined this group in the hopes of good news in the future..I am from Nagaland and quite keen on airsoft, I did play a lot while studying in the UK many years back. After coming back the scene here was basically non-existent but bit by bit some Indian Airsoft groups are beginning to emerge, there is a local one in my hometown of Dimapur. So this year I plan on getting some gear and a gbb rifle or two...while ordering the parts in bit by bit I have been getting some new kit in and have always liked the AOR-2 camo so I decided to get the full loadout just for the fun of it.

Note: the toys in the pic are just the basic gel blasters being used as placeholders, I am working towards getting a proper GBB rifle or two, will take some time as I the individual parts take time and some have been seized by customs so have had to reorder those pieces...but I must say I am almost 80% done with one of them.

Is this an authentic Italian sword?

Was sent these pics and was wondering does this look like a proper Italian ceremonial Dragon hilt sword, or could it be a replica? Thanks

Planning to build a VFC M16a1

Hello there, as the title states I am planning to build myself a vfc m16a1 by buying the individual parts. I was thinking since I will be upgrading it I might as well just get the upgraded parts and save myself some dosh not buying the bog standard internals. So I was wondering what parts are recommended and does anyone have a list of the parts.

Thanks

Mini NSeas

Got some 3d printed adapters for my mini nseas and tested them out and they work quite well. They are a bit below gen 2+ tubed pvs7's that I own, lots of house lights from nearby neighbours tends to kinda wash out the tubes when I use it in my backyard, but once you go to a darker place or a bit further out of the suburbs and into the woods it works quite well. I do like the ease of use of a pvs7 vs two nseas, double the knobs and switches to operate, but on the flip side its got depth of field, driving at night is much easier.
