UPDATE: They're still here and thriving!!

Hi all! I few days ago I made a post about my two babies (mainly about Cassie, the calico). They were really sick, vomiting, "crashing", etc. After I posted, Cassie's sister, Chloë, started going downhill. She also became weak, lethargic and also seemed like she was dying (looking back I think they were fainting or going in shock, however I'm not 100% certain). We went to the vet again (as some of you had advised) and they got sub q fluids, a vitamin shot and an anti nausea shot. The vet said it was likely a viral infection impacting the stomach. We were given some antibiotic drops and we were advised to watch them closely and to make sure they eat (both of them lost weight). I am so incredibly happy to report that both of them have been symptom free for over 24 hours now!!🥳🩷 They are currently having the zoomies while I'm typing this, lol. Thank you all so much for your advice and support, it is truly appreciated!! It helped us navigate this difficult journey. Much love from me, Cassie & Chloë!! 🩷🩷

Please pray for my baby girl.

Hi all, first time posting in this sub. My family and I recently started fostering kittens, which we have absolutely loved doing. Around a week or two ago we received a call from the animal shelter that we could foster two motherless kittens. Of course we said yes. We think they are around 3.5 weeks old. Their names are Cassie and Chloë. A few days ago, Cassie started throwing up alot. We thought nothing of it at first, they were treated for fleas recently so we thought that was the cause. However, things only started getting worse from here. Cassie wouldn't stop throwing up, seemed really weak and wouldn't eat. Friday evening we went to the vet, who said she was very dehydrated. He gave her some fluids but said she likely wouldn't make it through the night. I was so worried it made me sick to my stomach. My heart hurts so much for her. A little while later I went to the room they were in, and everything seemed amazing. She was playing with her sister, ate alot and seemed really active. We thought it was over. It wasn't. I got back from work this morning (saturday) and my mum told me she got worse again. My heart sank. When I went to their room a while later after freshening up, it genuinely seemed like she was dying. She was limp, unresponsive and lethargic. I thought that this was it. My mum just told me she seems better again. Still very sick but not dying. She gave her some sugar water (the vet had advised her to) and she finally ate a little bit of food. I'm so happy she's doing better but I'm so scared. I love this little baby so much and my heart hurts so bad. I don't want her to die, she doesn't deserve to. She's so little. And I'm scared for her sister too. What of she gets this ill too? What is one of them dies? I'm just so anxious. My little one is such a fighter and I'm so so proud of her. Please send your thoughts and prayers 🙏. I really hope she will turn out okay.
