Suspicious thing happened while using TLauncher… multiple accounts compromised
I’m not accusing TLauncher directly because I don’t have proof, but I wanted to share something really suspicious that happened to me.
A while ago, I had malware issues on my PC and eventually reset Windows completely. But one thing I still remember clearly is that while I was playing Minecraft through TLauncher, I suddenly received emails saying my GitHub account email/details were changed.
The timing matched exactly while I was in-game.
At the same time:
- My Steam account got hacked
- My Discord account started automatically sending scam messages to friends
- The Discord malware muted/blocked people so I couldn’t see replies
- Only the GitHub account connected in VS Code was affected
I had two Discord accounts logged into the desktop app, but only one got compromised.
Again, I’m not saying TLauncher caused this directly because it could also have been a mod, crack, malware, or something else already on my PC.
I just want to know:
- Has anyone else experienced something similar?
- Is this a known malware/RAT behavior?
- Could Minecraft mods or launchers access saved sessions/tokens like this?
Please enable 2FA everywhere and stay careful downloading mods/launchers/files.
