I stumbled across this on my drive to work this morning. Even if jazz isn’t your thing I still definitely recommend giving it a listen if you haven’t already!

Finally was able to buy a proper receiver! Before, I had a technics sa-150 just to get me started several months ago and I always knew it wasn’t that good. Fast forward to today after saving up some extra cash I was able to purchase this Sansui 771 and man is it incredible! It’s really opened everything up.

I’m thinking about adding a small sub to take some of the lower frequencies out of my speakers to clear them up. My set up has plenty of bass, but sometimes it can get a bit muddy so I’m wanting more control over it than just the bass tone control on my receiver. Really my only options are to put it in the bottom row of cubes, but I don’t know if I should put it towards the center or under one of the speakers. Also for reference under the right speaker would be the easiest to access the back panel to make adjustments.

UPDATE: I put blankets in the cubes and moved the speakers further from my wall and that has helped a lot! I’m going to get some better isolation feet to further reduce the vibrations as well. I may get a sub eventually, but won’t be rushing to get one at the moment.
