I just took my S66 and I failed it AGAIN! Last month I got a 62%, this time I got a 69%. I studied so hard for this exam, I put in everything I could, I was getting 80s on most practice tests, I felt so confident taking the exam, I genuinely thought I was gonna pass, and I am in complete shock over the result, I still can’t even believe it. I don’t even know if my firm will let me take it a third time or not but if they do, it’ll be my last chance, I just don’t understand it. This is the last exam I need to pass but anytime I feel like I’m right there it’s like I get pulled back all over again. Just a few days ago I did have a death in my family that really took a toll on me so I don’t know if that had a part in all this but I’m just so fed up with it all. I really want to have a positive mindset but it’s really difficult. I don’t know what the deal is with this exam and why I just can’t pass it for the life of me, but yeah, I’m just gonna need to take it again next month if I can. Hopefully then I can finally do something other than just constant back to back studying every single day. I haven’t allowed myself to do anything fun or relaxing almost this whole year cuz I wanted to fully lock in on taking my SIE, S7 and now S66, I really thought I’d finally be done with all this torture today, but oh well, now I’m gonna need to humiliate myself and let everyone know the L once again ahaha. If you guys have any advice you can offer me this third time around or anything else of that matter please let me know, and sorry for the really negative post, just going through it right now.
I failed my series 66 exam today on the first try with a 62. I used pass perfect as well as Kaplan to study and I would get scores right around 73 so some would be 72 and some would be 74 it was definitely cutting it close and I was worried, but I took a practice test last night and scored an 80 so I thought I was ready for today but when I took the test, I felt like the questions or answer choices were very strangely worded and I drew a blank multiple times. I finished with 35 mins to spare, so I went back on my answer choices and I thought everything looked about right, but yeah, it was not haha. It hurts for sure, but just gotta study some more, and hopefully start scoring above 80s on my practice tests and I should be good to go by next month. If you have any advice on what you’d recommend I do, definitely let me know! But other than that, I’ll see y’all next month with my “I passed” post! 😁
Hi everyone! My exam is in 3 days and I just wanted some advice on what to focus on today and these next two days to really solidify my understanding for this exam. Is there anything you’d recommend that I focus more on? certain nuances I should remember? etc. I just really want to pass this exam, this is the last exam I need to take for my job after passing the SIE and the Series 7. I’ve been feeling so burnt out lately cuz I’ve been studying and taking these exams since February, but all I gotta do now is pass this one and I’ll be done! I’d hate to have to take this again! I’m using pass perfect and I did buy the Kaplan Q bank as well but most of my studies have been through pass, I haven’t used Kaplan as much. In terms of my practice tests, it’s very hit or miss, some tests I’m scoring the late 60s, whereas others I’m hitting either right below 73 or right above 73. My lowest score was a 64% and my highest was an 80%. I’m really worried for this exam! Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you so much!
Hi everyone! I passed my exam today!!! 😭🎉 I was so scared and stressed leading up to today because I took the exam last month but failed so my firm was giving me one last chance to pass it and finally I was able to pull through! I used pass perfect and I also bought the Kaplan Q bank to supplement my studies and I found that really difficult but pass perfect definitely helped me out. I was definitely not ready the first time around, I was scoring in the 60s on the practice tests and generally I just didn’t feel prepared going into it, but studying the second time around was a lot better, I ended up learning a lot more and understanding the material better and was scoring in the 70s on practice tests. Make sure you are strong on your options, suitability and munis as well as taxation and accounts, they definitely will help you go a long way, and most importantly never give up! I was so anxious and self doubtful but all you gotta do is just do it anyway! Thank you for this subreddit for being there these past two months. Now on to the 66!
Hi, I have my test coming up this Thursday and I’ll be taking it for the second time. My firm is giving me one last chance to pass this test so I’m shitting bricks rn. I definitely overall feel a lot more confident this second time around and my scores have been averaging in the mid 70s range on pass perfect. I bought the Kaplan Q bank and have been taking quizzes there but I feel like the questions are so much more difficult on there so my scores are not that good on Kaplan. I feel like I generally know the content pretty well it’s just that the wording of certain questions can be difficult for me to understand what they’re trying to ask of me, also there are a few memorization concepts like time frames, number of days to do specific things, etc that I sometimes forget as well. Is there any advice you could give me at all that I can do for tonight and all of tomorrow and potentially the morning of the exam? I really need to pass this if I want to keep my job!!! I’ve studied really hard for this but I can’t help but freak out! any tips, strategies, advice or words of encouragement would help me out a lot right now! Thank you so much! and wishing you all the best on your studies as well!
Just curious I guess.
I was 18 and in my senior year of high school. All senior year events were cancelled and started my first year of college fully online.
Failed the 7 today with a 64% it hurts soooo bad also feeling anxious cuz my firm is gonna give me one more chance to pass this but it’s ok, I’ll definitely study harder next time! I feel like I need to do a better job at pacing myself too, towards the end of the test I realized I was running out of time so I was kinda rushing it which I feel like was why I failed tbh also generally felt like I could’ve put in more effort as well. It’s ok though! This will be some good character development and just gotta put in the extra dedication for next month. Talk to you guys later on my “passed” post! :))
Hi everyone! My exam is in 3 days, and I’m not gonna lie, I’m very worried. There is so much information and i’m feeling quite overwhelmed. I have taken many practice tests but haven’t gotten a single passing score on any of them. I feel like it’s hard for me to recall how to perform certain formulas or rules during the practice tests but then once I review it afterwards it makes sense but for some reason it won’t retain. I don’t know if it’s just the pass perfect program I’m using that is making it more challenging than it needs to be but overall I could really use some advice on what I need to do to get me prepared to test in 3 days. Really appreciate it, thank you!
