Where are the most interesting, doomiest, obscure, animalistic, feral, dungeonesque, and or disorienting bands in the country? Where can one immerse oneself, live and viscerally, into the abyssal regions of death metal?
Looking for people in Texas- or wherever, perhaps- who are interested in playing stuff like Disembowelment, Entombed, Blasphemy, so on; (sort of analog-sounding, old school breed of grind and deathdoom). My own influences come from Swedish bands, Finnish bands, Drudkh, Blut Aus Nord, Urfaust, Thergothon —obscure-sounding, mysterious, melancholic.—I play guitar and write lyrics and have a few novels.
