Monteverde vs. Manuel Antonio -- worth visiting both?
Hi everyone! My partner and I (both early 30s) are planning a trip to Costa Rica in late November/early December. We are flexible on the trip duration, can keep it to 8 days or 10 days. La Fortuna is a definite stop, but we're unsure whether to visit Monteverde, Manuel Antonio (MA), or both.
We love wildlife and nature, and we're particularly interested in guided forest walks and night tours. We live in Vancouver, so beaches aren't usually a big draw for us, but experiencing a tropical beach and a different set of wildlife sounds exciting.
Would you recommend adding a few extra days to visit MA, or is Monteverde a better use of our time? We're renting a car and want to avoid spending too much of the trip driving.
I know these similar questions are asked all the time, but even after reading the answers, I am unable to make that decision.
