I wanted to share the difference between my dentures immediately after extractions, and what they look two years later.

The first photo is at my best friends Bachelorette party, and I had gotten all my uppers extracted about 1 month before. I was so upset that my face looked nothing like it did before. I felt like i was ALL TEETH because they were sitting on top of all the swelling. I could barely give a real smile because I didnt want to exaggerate how obvious they looked.

The rest of the photos are of me over a year later, up to two years after extractions. The swelling went WAY down slowly over the first 6 months or so, and i looked way more MYSELF after that.

I had an alveoplasty and hard reline about a year after my first extractions, but other than that its the same denture.

I will be getting a replacement soon, but i wanted to share this because I often see people worried that they no longer look like themselves because of the swelling and overbite immediately after extractions.

Italian restaurant that closed down

I need some help remembering about a place that I used to get lasagna at over 10 years ago. I dont think it exists anymore, because googling seems to come up with nothing. I would have gone there for the first time 12 years ago. I dont remember if it was a formal restaurant or more casual, because i would always order to go and pick it up while driving through ladysmith.

It was genuinely my favourite food but I havent thought about it in years, because i moved. Im going into ladysmith tomorrow and want to make sure ive exhausted all my options for searching before assuming they just closed down.

I wish I could remember more details. The only other thing I remember was it being on a hill (shocker, I know), and not too far off the highway.

Nothing is worse than your menstrual cycle and kidney stones

I just cant do it man. I can get through obstructions, I can get through post op PCNL complications. I can get through neph tubes, bags, catheters. I have chronic stones and have dealt with pain daily for years now.

Theres just this special combination of severe period pain combined with severe kidney stone pain, that makes it absolutely debilitating. I just don't know how im supposed to deal with this for another like 20 years. I feel like my body is actually shutting down and preparing for death every month, lol.

Advice? Or just maybe someone can relate? Ugh!!!
