Hey everyone, I was recently laid off and have been applying for jobs, but most of the opportunities I'm finding just aren't what I'm looking for.

I'm a content writer, and I'm thinking about giving Upwork a serious shot. I'd eventually like to build my own client base and be my own boss instead of depending on a traditional job.

I'm not expecting to make money overnight. I know it'll take time and effort. I just don't want to spend months chasing something that's no longer realistic if there are better alternatives.
