CFO asked me if I knew how to use VLOOKUP in Excel

I just install excel, I’m not smart enough to realize you’re just hoping I know about VLOOKUP despite not being in finance, and I’m instead going to act like you’re a moron for asking and be snarky about it.

I wish users were thoughtful enough to realize that asking how to use the technologies I “manage” is a dead end. They should just ask ChatGPT, I’m too myopic to realize that they probably know it’s out of my wheelhouse but are asking on the off chance that I’m willing and able to help them today.

I hate to say this, but someone needs to start curating YouTube documentaries and video essays to showcase and preserve the best examples

The oversaturation of this medium has led to a proliferation of "content" that's completely pointless and empty, but there really is gold buried in the muck.

I recommend Bank of Dave if you are looking for for something to watch btw. Very of it's time but very charming.

Maybe I'll try to do this if there's interest.

How does recruiting work at WGU?

Are there good virtual job fares and stuff that actually help you get a job? I'd like to make a career change, but my fear is that I'll complete a degree then get stuck in the same career path due to the white collar recession.

You have to be a virgin to think Reptards would buy homages if they truly just liked the design rather than wanting the clout

Imagine telling someone at a party that your watch is a Sugess or a TACTICAL FROG. I recently had someone compliment my watch and ask if it was a Rolex. I had to just say "It's not, but thank you!" rather than explain that I was wearing a SEESTERN, which is basically as good as a Seiko (what?) and face humiliation.

You know what would have been smoother? Saying "Good eye, it's a Rolex Submariner Rep". She wouldn't know what Rep means anyways, so there's no need to lie. The reptards are probably 100% honest and just bank on well adjusted people not knowing what "rep" means.

The Reptards are right and homagecels like us really are rubes. Anyways, enjoy your Tandorios guys!

Niche type of guy: Almost comically aloof and chill 23 year old son of a blue collar business owner

I can clock a guy who's dad owns a construction company worth $5m-$100M within seconds of talking to them.

They have this slow laugh and wide goofy smiles, plus this impossibly laid back vibe even on the job site. Might be a southern thing, I haven't met any from other parts of the U.S.

I'm sure it puts people off because you can just immediately tell that they are basically the modern equivalent of the antebellum planter aristocracy (and they know it), but it's fun to go on their boat, and they are extremely sociable in a way that other zoomers are not.

Do NOT engage in conversations about the working class noble savages, better not to hear their opinions on them.

What is the nicest watch you own, and what is the nicest watch you wear when seeing clients?

I'm sure there's a lot of overlap between this community and watch enthusiasts. I'm curious what you guys are wearing!

Anyone here selling managed services to mid-market companies?

I moved up from SMB to a company targeting larger companies. Eager to hear any tips you guys have or learning materials you suggest. There's no meaningful mentorship available at my company.

Are there any forums you guys like besides Reddit now that this place is over run with marketing bots?

I'm getting so tired of every third post being an AI written guerilla marketing post. I want out, but I don't know where to go.

Violent white supremacist is the only job that we truly had to outsource to migrants and foreigners because white people won't do it

The FBI recruiting team probably wishes they could find a real WASP to post on shady parts of the Internet all day and maybe light up a mosque, but I guess it's impossible to find candidates. Very ironic.
