Pindari Glacier Trek – One of Uttarakhand's Most Beautiful Himalayan Treks ❄️🏔️
Whenever people talk about trekking in Uttarakhand, names like Kedarkantha, Valley of Flowers, and Roopkund usually come up. But one trek that doesn't get enough love is the Pindari Glacier Trek.
I've had the opportunity to visit this trail multiple times, and every trip reminds me why it's one of my favorites.
The trek starts from the beautiful Kumaon region and passes through peaceful villages, pine and rhododendron forests, rivers, waterfalls, and open valleys before reaching the spectacular Pindari Glacier. Along the way, you're treated to incredible views of Nanda Kot and other Himalayan peaks.
What I really like about this trek:
- It's suitable for beginners as well as experienced trekkers.
- The trail isn't as crowded as many popular Himalayan treks.
- Local villages offer warm hospitality and a chance to experience Kumaoni culture.
- Every day feels different, with changing landscapes and stunning viewpoints.
If you're planning this trek, I'd recommend visiting between April–June or September–November for the best weather and mountain views.
I work with a local trekking team in Uttarakhand, so if anyone has questions about the route, itinerary, permits, transportation, fitness, or what to pack, feel free to ask in the comments. I'm happy to help, even if you're planning the trek on your own.
If anyone is looking for a guided trek with experienced local guides, you're welcome to send me a DM as well.
Happy trekking! 🏔️
