Are WCAG guidelines actually usable in agency practice?

Hey everyone!

My name is Sonja, I'm an graphic designer from Austria and currently working on my bachelor's thesis.

My topic: I'm designing a visual toolkit to make WCAG 2.2 requirements more accessible and actionable – aimed at agency staff regardless of their role or prior knowledge, with the goal of building real awareness for inclusive design in everyday work.

I'd love to hear your take: Do you also find that information on accessible design is scattered across way too many sources, guidelines, and checklists – often contradicting each other or hard to navigate? And does anyone else feel that the WCAG criteria on the W3C website (https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG22), while technically thorough, are just not very intuitive or brain-friendly for practical use?

Any experiences, frustrations, or opinions are very welcome – this kind of input genuinely helps me shape the toolkit around real needs. And once it's finished, I'll happily share it here! 🙏
