One of my BMWs (an M440i) often makes we wait 3-4 seconds before it unlocks the driver’s-side door when I approach The other (a 330i) unlocks the door immediately as I get near. The preferences for both cars are set up exactly the same way in iDrive settings. Any way to fix this?

Why does my BMW keep forgetting who I am?

About once a month my ‘25 M440i xDrive Coupe fails to recognize me when I get in the car. Like I’m being gaslighted! The screen defaults to a Guest profile. Not a big deal, really. A couple of taps on the iDrive 8.5 screen and the car reverts to my BMW ID. Still, it’s damn annoying. Does this happen to anyone else?
