My great uncle passed away last year and I was given his medals and badges from his time in the military. He was a wonderful guy. I am putting together a shadow box to display these items in remembrance of him in my new home. However, I am not very familiar with the military or what exactly some of these are or mean, though some are very clear. I am concerned about not displaying them correctly. I would hate to be disrespectful out of ignorance, so I’m reaching out for a little help. Are there any particular pieces that need to/should be placed next to each other? Are they oriented correctly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Saw this antiquing and it just really spoke to me. I do not think the information on the tag is necessarily accurate (pic included but said “Circa 1700s Hindu Boat Bow Light”). I have been trying to find out more about it, but my knowledge of items like these is limited and I’m really having trouble finding anything that is visually similar to this to a degree that it might help identify it. There is evidence of old wax in the top holes. Also, hairbrush for scale.
