Is this normal for entyvio

Okay so this is my first time on a biologic I assume it’s normal because online it says most people don’t see results until after the loading doses are complete just seeing if anyone had a similar experience to me
I failed 40mg prednisone 150mg azathioprine and 4.8mg oral mesalamine by failed I mean did absolutely nothing for my symptoms I got my first entyvio infusion on September 22nd first two days after no change which I expected then from the 25th-29th I had no bleeding at all today the 30th the bleeding is back not as extreme but it’s there my next infusion is the 7th just curious if anyone went through like a similar on and off during the loading doses

Humira or Remicade 🙃

Okay so just left the GI little background I was in the hospital beginning of June for my ulcerative colitis since then they’ve tried a 40mg prednisone taper mesalamine enemas (I think my inflammation is lower procoltis) azathioprine 150mg which I had to stop taking after 5 weeks because it started to make me very dizzy and buidniside 9mg extended release tablets and 4.8mg oral mesalmine split twice daily none of which helped my symptoms which are pretty much just blood and mucus and the occasional fart that I can’t trust I go once maybe twice a day and my stools are formed with some discomfort my calprotectin was 2020 when I was in the hospital and as of July 29th it was 2000 so it’s obvious the meds aren’t working being my symptoms also haven’t changed any

Just looking for personal experience on both the meds from people who have taken them before I call them back and make my choice haven’t been on a biologic yet so kinda nervous 🙃

Does this sound like a hypersensitivey reaction to azathioprine

Okay so I have ulcerative colitis obviously and was put on 150mg of azathioprine about a month ago maybe 5 weeks but about a week ago I started getting pretty dizzy all throughout the day and just generally feeling unwell I called my gi dr yesterday and of course he’s on vacation for a week and won’t be back until Monday the nurse lady at his office told me she can’t tell me to stop taking the meds my first guess was it was giving me anemia from bone marrow suppression but they sent me for blood work today and everything came back in the normal ranges the nurse told me to just keep taking it at the dose that I’m currently at because she can’t change my meds obviously but I feel so sick and dizzy all day I’m wondering if I should just stop taking it until he’s back Monday and I can explain it to him or just continue to take it and suffer

I know this is a chrones Reddit but I’m pretty sure you guys also take aza

Prednisone and Budesonide at the same time?

Have any of you been put on both at the same time? I’m in a stubborn flare up no urgency just bleeding I’ve had some pretty bad reactions to the the prednisone mainly just really bad anxiety and insomnia I called my gi dr saying I was still bleeding and he originally wanted to re up my prednisone to 40mgs I said I really do not want to because of the side effects I was experiencing I’m currently at 20mg in my taper going down 5mg a week he then told me to start taking the Budesonide at 9mg a day and continue with my taper just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation taking both at the same time bc I know they are both cortosteriods any advice or warnings towards new side effects would be great I’m also taking oral mesalamine and 150mg azathioprine

Do you think I’m failing my meds or just need more time

Okay so I was in the hospital for a bad flair up beginning of June when I left the hospital they told me I had moderate to severe procolitis had me taking 40mg prednisone (dropping 5mg weekly), mesalamine enemas and (an antibiotic to prevent infections)

I then went to see my GI dr had to get a new one because my old one retired this was about 2 weeks after leaving the hospital when I told him I was still having blood he told me to stop taking the antibiotic and re upped my prednisone to 40mgs, azathioprine 150mg and then I take 4 mesalamine 1.2g tablets 2 at a time split between 12 hours I’ve been tapering the prednisone and tomorrow I will be down to 20mgs

The reason I’m worried I’m failing is because last time I talked to them and said I was still bleeding he said he’d like to re up my prednisone again if it doesn’t go away which I don’t want to do because it gives me terrible anxiety, joint pain and insomnia and I can’t function properly I haven’t had any urgency this flare just blood and mucus whenever I go which is normally just once or twice a day stools are formed just wondering if you think I’m failing what the best course of action would be for me or if you think I just need more time I’m definitely bleeding less then pre hospital but it’s still bloody with clots and mucus 😞

I feel like I’m going crazy

Okay so I know a lot of people have bad reactions to prednisone I went to the hospital for a really bad flare up June 3rd and I’ve been on 40mgs of prednisone daily since June 9th dr finally let me drop it to 35 this week starting(June 29th) supposed to be dropping by 5mg each week I’m also currently on 150mgs AZA and twice daily oral mesalamine it seems to be getting my bleeding under control I didn’t have any urgency this flare up just a lot of bleeding which is great
BUT starting maybe last week I’ve constantly been in fight or flight mode terrible anxiety attacks normally when I drive or am in a public place like a Walmart I’ve never dealt with anxiety or panic attacks before being on this I called my dr today to extend my medical leave because I cannot work where I work feeling like this and told him about how horrible my anxiety was and he kinda just told me oh yeah you gotta ride it out it’s common with prednisone I’m wondering if you guys think I should go to urgent care to get something for my anxiety because I cannot sleep without waking up in a sweaty panic 3 times a night and I’m constantly on edge and worried about nothing heart races whole nine yards any advice is appreciated or if you had a similar experience just so I know I’m not losing my sanity :(((

Recent bad flare up :(

Hello everyone I’m a 25 year old male who recently got out of the hospital for a bad flare up (hospitalized 6/3-6/7). I’m more so dealing with constipation than diarrhea which is weird because my first any only other flare was constant diarrhea that was years ago and I was in remission until this point of going into the hospital no blood or anything until now. Gave me a colonoscopy and said it’s my colitis and proctocolitis which I’ve never heard of that one my white blood cell count was high I believe 15,000 feeling a bit better now
BUT these meds they have me on make me feel nauseous whenever I eat and random light headedness sometimes goes away more so towards the evening I’m on a 40mg prednisone taper each 7 days it drops by 5mg I’m also on sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim (bactrim) once daily 80mg and a mesalamine 4 gram enema my family dr said that the bad symptoms are from the high dose of prednisone I’m wondering if anyone had similar reactions taking it and if their body ever adjusted to it and about how long it took because I feel terrible 80% of the day also wondering what foods might help you guys any recommendations for protein shakes since I’ve lost 9 pounds any advice helps
