Hi everyone,
I am considering applying for the MTech in Modeling and Simulation program at DIAT Pune.

My background : I have completed my Btech in Mechanical engineering and have cleared Gate DA.

I have few queries regarading the course.
1.Syllabus and curriculum : What is the syllabus of the course ie what topics are taught in te course in each semester? How heavily does it lean toward pure mathematics versus applied computer science/programming?(I checked the college website. But no information in it)

2.Placements & Job Opportunities: What kind of roles do regular (non-sponsored) students typically get? Do tech/data science companies visit the campus for this branch, or are the opportunities strictly confined to core engineering R&D and defense labs? What is the realistic average package for a fresher here?

3.Difficulty Level: Given that this is a highly math-heavy course, how brutal is the academic rigor? Can an average student who is willing to put in consistent effort manage the curriculum, or do you need to be exceptionally gifted in mathematics to survive and get a good CGPA?

If anyone from DIAT Pune or the Applied Mathematics department could shed some light on this, it would be immensely helpful. Thanks in advance!

In PYQ it is given that , part B will noly be valuated if you get certain marks in Part A.
I believe that varies every year dependin on the difficulty of the exam.
But Generally,

1. What range of marks is needed to clear part A ?

2. What range of marks is needed to Qualify the overall exam?

If anyone knows,elspecially people who have written the exam previous year, please answer.
I will be really helpfull.
