When Did You Decide to Get Two?
As the Title says—when did y'all decide to get two dogs, or a furry sibling to your first? We love our little bernedoodle girl (4.5 months) but she's a SUPER social butterfly. Even though I work at home, we regularly say hello to dogs on her walks, have taken her out to stores to interact with people, gone to a dog park twice since she's been vaccinated, and has gone to doggy day care for about 4 hours (one time), so it is not like there is a shortage of interactions for her throughout the week. This past week we started an obedience class with on-leash only socialization, and got her to work on being around other dogs and humans without getting over excited. However, on this morning's walk, she seems to have gotten worse? More barking, more nipping, more jumping, whenever another person volunteers to let my puppy say hello to theirs. I'm not sure if this is something she'll grow out of, and maybe I'm jumping the gun by assuming we should get a second dog to help her adjust, but I'm just looking for any and all advice if y'all have it!
