Vet behavioralist wants a xray for my dog? Are behavioralist worth it?
So my 10 month dog is extremely reactive to other dogs and we arw have some interhouse hold agression with my other dogs (fighs that started with reaource guardin food and escalted to random times but now is a lot better as them aged, but still something we want to fix, no injurys but its a fight with a lot of nosie and showing teeth). So we decided to get a vet behavioralist for them seeing it was probably the best option instead of trying to find a trainer. But i am already about 1000 dollars deep into it and we have one training session with their trainer and the the appointment with the doctor and all we got was some medication for his anxiety and some tips on training skills. Now the doctor want him to get an xray with sedation for potential hip displasya at 11 months old and wants blood test and the cost are really adding up. Do u know how much xrays usually cost and is it worth holding off on the xrays to see if the meds and trainings work? I really need advice on those who have workes with a vet behavioralist. Thanks!
