I'm currently working for an organisation that explicitly disallow you working abroad. The machines are locked down tight, and they have Zscaler.
I have a travel router with a private NordVPN instance setup on it. Would this be ample to get away with it, if my VPN location is set to my home country?
I messed up.
I took a gap "year" of 2 years to travel. When I got back, I started applying for jobs and couldn't get anything.
So I lied. On my CV, I extended the time with my ex-employer til present. With that CV, I've been offered a job that does a BPSS check.
Now I'm thinking of either dropping out of the process, or providing the truthful data and hoping for the best.
Is there any criminal risk to this? Will they cross-reference with my CV? Or is BPSS simply to validate that I am who I say I am, and that I'm legally entitled to work in the UK?
