Just realized how Figma connects to Dev work. Is this how it actually works in companies?

Hey everyone,

I'm a beginner, and before opening or knowing about Figma files, I used to think I just had to guess the width, colors, fonts, sizes, and styles by looking at an image. Honestly, it was getting so frustrating and making me feel like I was falling backward because of all the guessing.

Then, while doing Frontend Mentor challenges, I discovered Figma. It completely blew my mind to realize how the actual pipeline works: a UI/UX designer creates the interface with all those exact spacing, padding, and styling specifications already laid out, and then the developer replicates it in code.

I have a few questions for the experienced devs here:

  1. Is this exactly how things work in a professional company, or do things change a lot in the real world?

  2. With how good AI is getting, if you just give a complete Figma file to an AI tool, can it accurately build the whole frontend? What are the limitations keeping companies from just doing that today?

  3. If this is how things actually work, what is the right way to learn as a beginner? What do you want us to focus on the most when we are practicing?

Would love to hear insights on how your day-to-day workflow looks with designers!

My third project:Built an interactive Anime Character Timeline Dashboard using HTML & CSS flexbox/gradients. Would love some feedback!

Live Link: https://abdu-byte596.github.io/third\_project/

Hey everyone, I just finished my third web development project! It’s a multi-page dashboard featuring responsive, vertically scrolling timelines for different anime characters (Naruto,Minato, Light, Mikey, Eren).

Login page is just dummy so JUST CLICK LOGIN,wanted the feel of REAL WEBSITE so made the login page.

CLICK EXPLORE TIMELINE to explore their story in that dashboard.

My main goal:

Each character page uses CSS linear-gradient transitions that shift colors to match the mood of their different life stages, along with a flexbox layout that shifts to a clean vertical column on mobile screens.

CAN BE SEEN IN BOTH MOBILE/DESKTOP,LAYOUT VARIES IN MOBILE AND DESKTOP

My second project: A responsive anime character showcase

Hey guys this is my second project which is about me and my fav anime characters,my first project was protfolio with just raw html.

You can view this on both phone mode and desktop mode, its responsive:https://abdu-byte596.github.io/anime\_characters/

Idea/goal:

1.The idea of this project was to show my fav characters with their theme background colour, theme font color

2.And when one character is over when next starts it also has its own theme background color and font color

3.The main thing was to smoothly transition from one color to another color.

Learning/journey:

1.I learned about linear-gradient() property for smoothly transition from one color to another color

2.Learned about giving body margin 0 if we dont give this then there will be background color white

3.And at start didnt know how to start what to start and explored inline,inline-block and float and then eventually used flexbox.

Questions:

1.What do you guys think about the layout, font, colors, and positining of the text and images?

2.This was my second project my first one was portfilio with just html, what do you guys suggest me to go or do next or explore next and how do I improve?

3.How do you guys became pro in html and css?
