The Romans built this bridge 1,900 years ago, and people still walk across it every day
In Chaves, Portugal.
The Romans built this stone bridge over the Tâmega River around 104 AD under Emperor Trajan. Local people paid for it and dedicated it to him.
It was part of the important road connecting Braga to Astorga. Almost 2,000 years later, the bridge is still standing and still in use.
