osm report thread

i genuinely think we should make a proper megathread compiling all the evidence against osm and then ask the mods to post it on twitter + mail it to relevant influencers/media outlets asw. and we should all do this individually too. jo bhi log twitter/insta etc. use karte ho pls take the initiative to post about it. if u dont use social media, ask someone else to post it for u. also tag all the relevant stakeholders (cbse, edu minister, news outlets etc.)

at the very least, pls mail cbse so later we have proof that we DID try to report this. varna baad mei ye log bolenge “oh why didnt u inform us earlier”

posting only on reddit isnt gonna get this issue the attention it deserves. theyre still denying all the claims against osm so we NEED to back everything up w actual proofs/screenshots. we seriously need to move a lil systematically now. i get that everyone is frustrated and just ranting/posting here but we need to organize properly and raise our voice tg as cringe as that sounds 😭

also pls stop making unrealistic demands like “grace marks for everyone” bcus thats neither fair nor happening. stuff like that just makes all of us lose credibility. pls try to understand gng

result date (my speculation) 10-20 may abhi kafi humanities ke subjects hai (history, socio, legal, psych etc) jinki checking 2-3 din pehle start hui hai so abhi toh checking chal rhi hai, no way it's gonna be done earlier unless cbse appoints extra examiners.

scenario 1 it gets released on 30th april as the new predictions are saying. it could be possible if cbse appoints extra examiners bcus they might be feeling a pressure to release the result bcus:

  1. kafi state boards ka aa chuka hai
  2. osm was supposed to fasten the process of checking so ppl might criticise cbse for releasing it on the usual dates even w osm (however i think its okay bcus its the first time so it took a lot of time to train the examiners)

now this could have 2 implications:

to release the result earlier they would either need to appoint extra examiners, which means they might end up appointing underqualified or incompetent examiners (i read a post yday abt schools sending 6th-8th class teachers for checking, tho i dont know if this is true and there is ofc no way to verify it). if this happens then it would either lead to crazy lenient checking or crazy strict checking i think bcus ofc humanities ke answers are not limited to js the answer key and only a person who has acc taught the subject throughout the year would understand nuance.

OR cbse would pressurise the already appointed examiners to fasten the checking process. now again this can lead to both scenarios, super lenient (as we saw in the case of tenthies this year) or super strict.

scenario 2 the papers get checked like normal and the results are released in second week of may. i think this will most probably be the scenario bcus cbse had given the tentative date as 20 may, so they can take their time. and as the video of a cbse coordinator i think? was going viral where he said that the result will be out b/w 10-20 may.

i personally have a gut feeling that it'll be out either on the usual 13th may or 15th may (idk why but its like exact one month after tenth result and exact two months before twelfth improvement exam so yea)

thodu sa reality check / rant regardless of whenever it'll be out, i think all of us are well aware of what we wrote and usmei se kitna relevant tha. its pretty easy to calculate ur percentage range (believe me i calculated my EXACT percentage in tenth). i honestly dont get the hype around result date on reddit sm. like again lemme adress both scenarios.

if you feel like youre on the edge of failing: stfu and start studying for compartment/improvement. agar compartment aa jata hai toh you'll be well prepared by the time, agar nhi aata toh improvement de dena. if satisfactory marks aa gaye and u dont wanna take improvement either, that padha hua will be useful for entrances/college. padha hua will not go to waste. better safe than sorry yk

this year ive seen soooo many posts and comments everywhere, like literally everywhere of pcm students being like "15 number ka likha hai pass hojaunga/hojaungi kya phy mei chem mei math mei"

BHAI. STFU. NO ONE ON REDDIT CAN EVER TELL YOU PASS HO JAOGE YA NAHI. its like blind leading the blind bcus everyone here knows js as much as u do abt the checking and result. cbse examiners are not allowed to reveal anything obv. and all the ppl who are claiming to have some insights from examiners, you have absolutely no way to verify if those ppl are telling u the truth. this is an anonymous app so u have no way of knowing that. (again, not to say that everyone who claims so is lying, some of them could be true and if it is then thats great right, but again you can never know whether or not its true)

yes, ik everyone says ki 15 se upar bhot chance hai pass hone ke and cbse itself says ki pass krne ke liye grace diya jata hai 2-3 marks ka. if mil jata hai then it's great, but it honestly depends on the examiner dude like how is this not obvious to ppl. yes, most cbse examiners are lenient and student centred. but the keyword here is most. there are always outliers. no one knows whether the person who checked ur paper wanted to pass u or not. (im not fear mongering or anything i js want yall to calm down, like there's a life outside of these results twins)

plus there are so many uncontrollable variables here. their mood, ur handwriting, technical glitches they might be facing, difficulty of the set and what not. there's no point in stressing over these. in sab chizo ka stress lene se wo apne control mei toh aa nhi skti na lol pls redirect that energy into studying for entrances/improvement/compartment for ur own sake.

if you're average / above avg / topper: im pretty sure u guys are capable enough to calculate/predict ur marks based on what answers u wrote. exceptions here are languages and theory subjects (those too can be predicted to some extent)

if apki expected range mei result aa jata hai toh well and good (in most cases 1-2% upar hi aata hai), agar nhi aata toh all u can do is re-evaluation or sit for improvement. so again no point in worrying abhi.

i mean broskis i get yall are js worried. its normal to be stressed abt result but BHAI ISS BAAR KUCH ZYADA HI HAWWA BANA DIYA RESULT KA 😭😭

like yk im someone jo paper likh ke legit bhul jati hai ki result bhi aayega but seeing all ts on reddit is inducing faltu ka stress in me also for no reason lol

also, pcm folks, aap logo ke toh paper already check ho chuke hai toh apka jo bhi result hoga, it has already been locked ykwim. jo result aana hoga vahi aayega chahe aaj aaye ya kal, it doesn't change vo kitna aayega. pls bhailog thoda chill kro garmi bhot hori hai, result ki garmi vala mahol bana ke aur mat kro lmao 😭😭😭
