Heatwave - keeping cats inside?

My 9 month year old cats have semi supervised outdoor time and have just gor a catflap. Unfortuntely they are not fully able to use it yet. We both work full days and cant leave catflap propped open as it is in our front door. As its due to reach 30 degrrees again next week and they go a teeny bit crazy outside in the heat (one has 0 recall) is it safer for us to keep them inside next week as i cannot reliably get him home after 2 hours and Im prerry sure he will completely ignore me at dusk? Or is it better for my cat sitter to pop over and let them out in the afternoon, even if they cant get back in the house until we come home at 5? Not sure what's best....!

Anxiety when cat is out

Hi all. I have 2 9 month year old babies who have been going outside for maybe 2 months supervised. We now have a catflap and I want them to be independently going out during the day (while we are at work) and coming in for the night. The girl cat is pretry good at this but the boy is completely daft and gets carried away playing and won't come home. We have a lot of foxes and to my HORROR i witnessed him try to play with one the other night. He then had to wear his harness for a while afterwards. He doesnt seem responsive to treats while outside but does respond to the sound of the bag inside. I have set the catflap onto inside only from about 4pm but I'm sure he will get wise to that pretty soon.... he is also still struggling to work out the catflap. I dont know what to do as I want him to enjoy his life but i'm worried to might just be too dangerous for him.... any tips?? I know many people feel that inside only is fine for some cats but I think he'll never be happy woth a life purely indoors, he has such an adventurous spirit.. :(

Help needed

Have tried to reseed twice and lawn still looks like this (did it properly). I don't get a lot of sun due to east facing and massive trees to south- would clover be more successful??
