Is it too late to get another one? Lots of questions from your newest rose fanatic.
I am new to this, so accept my apologies in advance for my ignorance on gardening.
So. I had 5 roses…I can only remember the name of 1, which is Mr Lincoln. I’ve given them their own names now since I love them like I birthed them. Well, one of my roses failed (RIP) and now I’m down to 4. 1 is potted and 3 are in the ground. I want to replace the one I lost, but ChatGPT told me to wait until next year. Is it really too late to replace them this year? Chat also told me to space them out more because it could hinder their growth. Is this true? Should I not get another rose there and just space them?
Also, my potted rose is doing insanely good. It is getting too big for the pot. Do I wait until next year to repot. Do you think it will survive if I put it in the ground?
They were all planted at the same time, (the potted one 2 weeks before), all on the same side of the house (lots of morning sun). The ones in the ground are just growing so slow while the potted one is just growing like crazy!
I live in the Midwest
Lastly. This is my first year with roses. I bought them early this spring. Please don’t judge my garden. I know she is looking a little sad.I plan on beautifying it up some more next year. I’ve been taking some inspiration from your beautiful gardens.
Love y’all for reading till you got this far. And I’m sorry it’s all over the place. I’m trying to hurry and write before my actual child wakes up from his nap. lol.
