So, i had an idea for a character, where basically they like, adapt to attacks and stuff

Ex: get hit with fire once, it works, second time, the character adapted to it and it doesnt work (or at least not as well)

And i just have no idea what species or classes or feats would make such a character

This is an edit: I realise i posed this as if im doing it, its mostly a hypothetical
