Goodbye Reddit - what a waste of time and energy.

Blot says he loves to have a laugh and will ridicule everyone equally.

But that’s a lie.

When does Blot rip the piss out of Nigel Farage, Donald Trump or Tommy Robinson?

When does he make comedy out of white straight men or billionaire capitalists?

Fact is, the targets for Blot are always vulnerable minorities.

Asian and black people, immigrants, homosexuals, trans folk, the disabled.

And of course the leftists that defend them.

Never does he target the rich and powerful or white supremacists or right-wing populist and fascist leaders.

So no, he does not have a laugh about everyone equally.

It’s very unequal. It’s very pro-right, anti-left and hateful towards minorities.

Which makes him fair game for criticism in my view.

So let the criticism continue.

I don’t get this Reddit thing. When I first came here, I thought it was a place for genuine criticism of the worst aspects of Blot. It felt great to be vindicated by mutual agreement on his bigotry. I’d long been criticising on my own, so finding this group was a real breath of fresh air.

But it turned out to be more complicated than I initially thought. Not everyone disagreed with the bigotry for starters. In fact some people just wanted to rip the piss out of the man for fun. His family, physical appearance, drinking habits and nipples were as much a focus as the racism, sexism and homophobia.

I found it hard to fit in because I wasn’t interested in piss-take for pure entertainment value. My aim was, and always has been, to try and have a positive impact on Blot and make him more aware of the hideousness and harmfulness of his backward opinions and bigoted language.

But that meant going in deep - no ‘matron’ shit please - with my analyses of Blot and general society and the relationship between the two.

And that made me unpopular. I annoyed just about everyone. I took a load of abuse. People repeatedly posted my name and occupation. I was told I was mentally ill. I was told I had no friends. I was hated by Blot-haters. What a bizarre position to find oneself!

So last night I sat at work thinking…

Is it really worth it?

And then I watched Blot’s latest video (the one with the Box Outdoors lads).

And I realised that after every bigoted word or sentence Blot does the ‘Ya cannit say that’ thing.

Every time he says something offensive his brain reminds him that it’s wrong and makes him publicly recognise the fact.

Yes he’s taking the piss out of his critics. But he’s also proving them right at the same time.

Because if his words are not nasty, then why make an issue of it? Why not just say them and leave it at that?

He can’t. He knows it’s shit and can never unknow it.

So, I think it’s been worthwhile. I think the criticism has at least forced Blot to question his own behaviour - even if he’s not ready to abandon it yet.

And that’s all good.

But getting back to my presence on Reddit. I’m not going to say much after this. I don’t feel like I’m welcome here anymore.

But that’s fine. I’ve said what I needed to say. And if it had an effect on someone, great. And if it didn’t, well, we’ll all be dead soon anyway.

I’ve always strived to converse civilly and amiably with Blot. I’m a big believer in two-way communication and dialectical argumentation, so I never wanted to end up talking to myself. I invited Blot to chat many times.

But mostly what I’ve had in response is abuse, ridicule, sarcasm and British flag emojis.

There has been very little discourse. Which is a shame, because nothing can change without it.

I don’t hate Blot. I actually like the bloke. I like him enough to give him my time and offer him my help.

But he isn’t interested. He sees me as an enemy. His conservative consciousness makes him reject anyone who isn’t also conservative.

Blot perpetuates his own backwardness by filtering out all progressive ideas and compartmentalising those who articulate them.

But why is he this way? What happened in his life to make him so stubbornly right-wing and rigid?

Answer: Thatcherism.

Blot is a classic example of a working class man turned inside-out by ruling class ideology.

And so far at least there is absolutely no sign of Blot finding his true self.

He won’t talk. He refuses to listen. He mocks those who try to get through to him. And he surrounds himself with nodding yes people who are never going to criticise him in any way.

Blot is protecting a twisted version of himself from a far better, more natural, more human version of himself.

And Blot loses every day as a result.

He once said in a video, after falling over and breaking his tent in a drunken stupor, that ‘Uncle Gaz’ has ‘finally won’.

But for me it was never a contest. I wasn’t in it to win it.

I was in it to help Blot win.

I want everyone to win.

Blot doesn’t understand that. He can’t understand it. His conservatism doesn’t allow him to understand it.

And because he won’t talk, he may never understand it.

Let‘s talk, Blot.

Why do racists not evolve when they are defeated in debate?

As a former racist myself, I can testify.

Losing an argument isn’t enough. The arrogant racist will simply ignore the education and continue absorbing racist crap from other racists.

What is needed is real-life experience that challenges misconceptions and forces a change in outlook.

For me it was working in a pizza shop with Muslims.

I can’t overstate how important that was to overcoming my backward views.

I got to know these people well and developed a genuine respect for them.

It had never happened to me before. Coming from a very white council estate and being surrounded by racists all my life meant I was very naturally culturally stunted.

So I had to overcome racism via experiences beyond the norm.

And I wouldn’t go back to ignorance for anything.

Sadly, racism is on the rise in our society because people are swallowing the lies of right-wing political opportunists and putting up the barriers to social cohesion.

All racists should try forging strong connections with people of different colours and cultures.

Believe me, there is nothing to fear!

So last night I had my very first Blot dream.

In that dream we were mates and hanging about together. I can’t remember the details now, they’ve faded away as the day has progressed.

I just remember that we were pals, and I think there was a fairground of some sort.

Anyway, it’a got me wondering why Blot was in my dream.

I‘ve had similar dreams featuring the Gallagher brothers. Loads of them actually over the years.

In those dreams I’m always good friends with the Oasis lads and we have a great time together.

What‘s all that about?

And by the way, I have plenty great real-life friends, so it’s not like I’m Billy no mates yearning for company.

Is it perhaps my youth or childhood I’m craving?

I‘ve been trying my best not to watch Blot. But sometimes I see a thumbnail and I’m drawn back in again.

Now I’m watching his latest video where he breaks down in the Blotmobile and ends up having a drink and a chat with a homeless bloke.

And this is reminding me why I liked Blot in the first place. Beyond the bigotry and nastiness he can actually be entertaining, funny and very decent towards those less fortunate.

I love that he gave some of his supplies to the homeless man. I also love that he maintained a positive and comedic attitude in the face of adversity.

He even let us see his vulnerability and contradictory nature when he stopped himself from doing the racist wobbly head thing because the AA man popped out unexpectedly from behind his car.

Oh and he resisted saying ‘black cock’ after visiting Gregg’s.

So far so good. I’m enjoying the video. Well done, Blot.

Though I am only halfway through, so he could ruin it yet.

If Blot had been old enough to choose a side during the miners’ strike of 1984-85, would he have stood with…

A) The miners.

B) Thatcher.

I noticed the thumbnail but couldn’t bring myself to watch the video. Blot calling for the return of the death penalty made me completely switch off and do something else.

The death penalty was abolished for good reason: innocent people were killed by the state. It’s also not a deterrent and is a very barbaric form of punishment. There is absolutely no argument for bringing back the death penalty.

But of course the far-right want to bring it back. Not for dealing with criminals, but for murdering the political opposition. Such a weapon in the hands of a far-right government would be catastrophic for freedom and democracy.

Criminality is something that requires scientific study, rather than harsh punishment.

Why does Norway have far less violent crime than Britain? What is different about Norwegian society? What can we learn from that country?

Isn‘t it better to prevent crime than to brutally punish those who fall into it?

A decent society should not kill anyone.

Is Blot lactose intolerant as well as racially intolerant?

Why does he never slurp on a white cock…sorry guys, slip of the tongue…I mean white coffee?

Does milk cause Blot‘s digestive system to become bloated like his ego?

What was that so-called ‘joke’ all about in Blot‘s video tonight? Was it actually meant to be funny?

Don’t give up the day job, Blot. Oh sorry, not sorry, you haven’t got a job.

But seriously, that joke was terrible. My dad tells shit jokes. He’s well known for it. But even he rejected that one.

Telling jokes is an art-form. Some people have got it, and some people really shouldn’t bother.

Blot, don’t bother.

Like in Blot’s YouTube comments sections and Facebook pages - where you‘re only allowed if you have the same opinion.

Namely, Blot is great.

Some people here seem to think it’s okay to ridicule Blot’s appearance.

Whatever we think of a person’s views, behaviour or attitude, their physicalities should be ignored.

Comedian Stewart Lee draws attention to this principle during his Jeremy Clarkson routine.

In that routine Stew talks about how Clarkson ripped into former Labour leader Gordon Brown’s semi-blindness.

The physical awkwardness of Gordon Brown’s eye was fair game to Clarkson.

But apparently Gordon Brown was blinded as a child.

Is that really something to joke about?

I don’t like Gordon Brown, but his semi-blindness is not something I would ever ridicule.

I didn‘t like Boris Johnson either, but I never resorted to calling him names to do with his body image.

It’s lazy and unnecessary and can only further normalise the bullying of ordinary decent people.

So let’s do better. Stick to criticising Blot’s political views, destructive behaviour and arrogant responses to justified questioning.

The billionaires get their way with the masses because of this ideological control. Yes they have a powerfully oppressive state with a violent arm that they will utilise in times of social unrest.

But during regular circumstances they rely on consent, which they gain via ideological conditioning.

The ideology of the ruling class is disseminated throughout society in order to make the poor majority loyal to the rich minority.

And these false ideas permeate culture.

We can see them at play in the material that Blot creates. The automatic divisiveness is very apparent.

Blot cannot help himself of course. He’s just acting in accordance with the ideology that his super-rich rulers instilled in him via cultural hegemony.

To overcome this conditioning Blot would need to start questioning and resisting the control of his oppressors.

But that would be life-changing.

And Blot isn’t up for that. We all know it. His resistance to any sign of progressiveness is very obvious.

And there are millions like Blot. Many many people who are currently being hoodwinked by a very rich elite that exists to exploit them.

How do we connect with these people and show them a better way?

Anyone like Stewart Lee? Have you seen his Jeremy Clarkson routine?

Stew rips into Clarkson and makes a mockery of his vile right-wing attitude to comedy.

And at the same time makes the very valid point that joking about people isn’t just harmless fun.

And he’s right. Joking is not always harmless. We‘ve all witnessed the school bully ‘joking’ about their latest victim in from of an audience and the hurt it causes. Kids have actually taken their own lives because of what others perceive as ‘having a laugh’.

Its not having a laugh if someone is being harmed.

Take the Jews in Germany prior to the rise of Hitler. It became culturally acceptable to ridicule the Jews - and this made it easier for the Nazis to exterminate them later.

If you haven‘t yet discovered Stewart Lee’s comedy, go and check him out on YouTube. He is the master at exposing the ridiculousness of right-wing ideas.

And he doesn’t need to abuse minorities to get a laugh.

So, how are we feeling after Blot’s Friday night mooch video entitled, ‘Crazy Online Hatred Towards YouTubers’?

Personally I think Blot made some valid points. The mad extreme behaviour he talked about is definitely not justifiable. Targeting his family and telling him to kill himself, etc. I can’t support that shit.

But Blot wasn’t honest about his own online presence. There was no mention of the abuse he gives out to others when he overreacts to criticism. Nor did he bring up the Nazi salute - or anything else that would make him look bad.

And why lump all critics in the same ‘hater’ category? People can criticise something they see as faulted without hating the person responsible.

Blot should’ve made it known that not all critics are haters and not all haters are critics with valid opinions.

But of course we know he just doesn’t like criticism full stop. He doesn’t think there should be space on the internet for critics of his channel. Which is insane considering how he ridicules minorities and openly flaunts his right-wing beliefs.

I think Blot is probably going to have to accept that criticism is a fact of life.

Though I do agree with him on the more extreme stuff. That is just not on.

It’s all getting a bit silly isn’t it? Blot doing Hitler salutes to cause a reaction, then threatening court action against the reactors for the reactions that Blot deliberately caused.

Look, like him or loathe him, you have to admit that Blot is interesting. He‘s not your usual character. He has something that draws attention.

Of course he lacks political awareness. Of course he’s not the most intelligent person on the internet. But he has a gift for making people look at him on a screen and that needs to be appreciated.

We’ve all been entertained by Blot. Okay, he was better in the beginning before he brought his right-wing shite into it. But let’s remember the good times.

He has had me laughing out loud on many occasions. He has also had my kids laughing. We used to enjoy his videos together. My son even made a tribute video for Blot using funny clips of him and his pals set to the Doors tune, ‘Whiskey Bar’.

Those halcyon days are gone sadly. The channel isn’t what it was, due to the increase in bigotry and right-wing nastiness.

But all this tit-for-tatting isn’t helping anyone. It’s just deepening and becoming more sinister and distracting us from better things.

So, here’s a suggestion…

How about we all meet up for a drink in the caravan of bum love?

Only joking!

Nah, let’s just try to find some common ground. We are all human beings at the end of the day and trying to survive in a shitty would not of our choosing.

Can we not all be pals?

Why is it deemed normal for lots of people to idolise and fawn after Blot, but totally weird for a few people to voice concerns about his descent into far-right politics?

Speaking out against Blot’s bigotry generates abuse from his loyal yes men. Express criticism and suddenly you are ‘obsessed‘, ‘mentally ill’, ‘a weirdo’, ‘a freak’, ‘a communist’, ‘a wet-wipe’, ‘a soy-boy’, ’jealous‘, ‘seeking attention’ or ‘perverted’.

In reality it’s the yes men who need to think about their strange behaviour.

Worship of an online character is bizarre to say the least. Entering online discussions to attack and abuse critics is even worse.

What is going on with these people?

Well, it’s alienation. They’re lost and lonely and suffering and seeking comfort in all the wrong places.

They crave a bit of praise from their idol to make their pathetic lives worth living for a moment.

They no doubt take a screenshot every time Blot likes their crawly-arsed comment on his YouTube channel.

They probably save those screenshots in a special album and look at them regularly to remind them that all that bum-licking was worthwhile.

Oh yes, alienation does very fucked-up things to people.
